Thank you for your interest in the MEALMOD application. Bia Studios, LLC  (“Bia Studios”, “we”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through compliance with this policy. This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit, access, and/or use the MEALMOD application and related website (our “App”) and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.  This policy applies to information we collect:

• On this App; and 

• In email, text and other electronic messages between you, Bia Studios, and this App.

This policy does not apply to information collected by any third party, including through any application or content that may link to or be accessible from or on the App. 

1. Information We Collect About You and How We Collect It

a. We collect several types of information from and about users of our App.

i. We will collect e-mail address, regional location data, and IP Address (collectively defined as “Personal Information”) and this information may be stored on our server for a set period of time. 

b. The regional location data and personally identifiable data that is gathered, is used for demographic advertising and marketing purposes, and is not meant to track users in any way. 

c. Any data that is gathered is not meant to build a personally identifiable profile of an otherwise anonymous individual.

d. We collect this information:

i. Directly from you when you provide it to us;

ii. Automatically as you navigate through the App, which may include usage details, IP addresses, and information collected through cookies; and 

iii. From third parties, like our in-App advertising service or business partners, for example.


2. How to Access the App

a. Registration is mandatory for the use of App and requires a valid and verified email address. 

b. A user must also create a password to use when logging on the App. This is done to enhance the user experience via customization, address any questions or concerns that a valid user may have, and to ensure individual privacy when using multiple accounts on a single device.

 
3. Third Party Access to Data

a. The App uses AdMob (provided by Google) as an in-app advertising service. AdMob may gather additional data regarding user behavior, such as the collection, sharing, use of personal data, and use of cookies for the personalization of ads.

c. We do not currently work with any third parties outside of in-App advertising. However, we reserve the right to distribute user data to third parties for marketing and advertising purposes or in the case of a merger/acquisition. 

d. The reasons for distributing are not limited to the reasons outlined in this section. Your data will remain confidential except under the terms listed above in Section 3.c.


4. How We Use Your Information

a. We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal information:

i. To present our App and its contents to you.

ii. To provide you with information, products or services that you request from us.

iii. To fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it.

iv. To provide you with notices about your account.

v. To carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including for billing and collection.

vi. To notify you about changes to our App or any products or services we offer or provide though it.

vii. In any other way we may describe when you provide the information.

viii. For any other purpose with your consent.

b. We may also use your information to contact you about our services that may be of interest to you. If you do not want us to use your information in this way, please inform us at the time of your registration.


5. Disclosure of Your Information

a. We may disclose information about our users that does not identify any individual, without restriction.

b. We may disclose personal information that we collect, or you provide as described in this Privacy Policy

i. To contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them;

ii. To brand partners, regarding not personally identifiable information in aggregate;

iii. To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it;

iv. For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information; and

v. With your consent.

c. We may also disclose your personal information:

i. To comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request.

ii. If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of Bia Studios, our customers, or others.


6. Data Security

a. The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have chosen a password for accessing the App, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.

b. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our App. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the App.


7. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

a. It is our policy to post any changes we make to our privacy policy. You are expected to check this privacy policy periodically so that you are aware of any changes.


8. Contact Information

a. You may opt out of this agreement at any time by contacting us via email at Contact@mealmodapp.com, and putting “I do not wish to have my data gathered” in the email subject.  Please include your username and password in the body of the email to confirm the status as a valid user. We will make all reasonable efforts to delete the data and deletion may take some time. However, data will continue to be gathered from within the App while in use.

b. Should you choose to opt out of this agreement, you may continue to have access to this app with a valid username and password.

This App may provide information related to diet and nutrient and is intended for personal use and informational purposes only. Results achieved from use of this App may vary. The values given in this App are meant only to be estimates and are not guaranteed. This application is meant to be used by individuals who are at least 18 years of age. The recommendations from this app with regard to maintaining a healthy weight come from a proprietary patent pending method. The part of the method that calculates caloric intake and recommendations, is based on the commonly used kcal/kg method. Please be advised, we do leave an amount of caloric intake open to the user for snacking and beverages.
